What a day! We had the first dress rehearsal of our end of year production this morning and a second in the afternoon, to members of staff and pupils. It definitely helped us see a few staging problems which we managed to iron out by the afternoon. The hall was hot and stuffy, although I was fortunate to be beside the fan, and the performance lasted longer than anticipated which meant the younger children became quite restless.

It was a tiring but rewarding day, seeing the children pull out all the stops and do their best to put on a great show. Once 3.30 pm arrived I made a quick getaway in a bid to avoid being asked to stay and tidy up again! I had had enough for one day and just wanted to go home and relax.

Of course this did not stop me finding myself singing to yet another production song while preparing dinner!!!!

At this rate I will be able to recite the whole script from memory by the end of the week………………Lucky me!
