I woke up feeling my old self again with the sun shining and hubby peacefully dozing beside me, after a kiss and cuddle we got up and faced the day with a smile!

The day was filled with washing and ironing and the sound of classical tunes coming from the cd player. The kids milled around, Liam tidy his room, the first time in weeks, he changed his bed muttering something about a new girl friend coming to visit him soon and brought down half my dinner service covered in mirco organisms and bateria. I was not happy, especially as I had just cleared the worktops and put the dishwasher on, now the kitchen looked a mess again!

Matthew decided to mend a puncture in the tyre of his BMX and as it was decided he would need a new inner tube, 5 of us piled into the car to venture in tesco for an inner tube and something to eat that night for dinner.

As we left we said goodbye to Mark and his girl friend who were off to London to see Oasis play live, that’s the band not the drink!

After managing to spend £175 in tescos, on heaven knows what, we arrive home and started to cook. Matthew repaired the bike in no time with the help of his dad, and an exceedingly tasty roast dinner was served up at 6.30 pm to which 9 hungry members of the Boutique family tucked into.

A couple of ciders later, I know I said never again but everything in moderation is fine! And a bowl of strawberries and cream for dessert finished the day off nicely.

So all in all a lovely weekend! Apart from the hangover that is……………….
