It’s the last week of school, hooray…… We spent the day finishing off props, sewing costumes, singing songs and practising lines for our end of year production, which we desperately needed to do, as the first dress rehearsal was the next day in front of the staff and pupils in KS1. The day seems to drag and the children appeared fed up by the end of the day.
As Vicky had football club after school I stayed behind to help clear out and tidy our classroom ready for the new teacher next term. This meant I didn’t get home until 4.45 pm and as hubby was model car racing that night I started cooking dinner as soon as I walked in the door. All that listening to the continuous practising of the production meant that I now found myself singing and humming along to the tunes while I prepared dinner! Roll on Friday, that’s all I can say.
After dinner hubby disappeared out with his mates, the kids dispersed to their rooms and I was left surfing the internet and chatting on Facebook to occupy myself!
I really must organise something or get a hobby for the nights hubby goes model car racing because I am getting bored sitting at home.
Around 9 pm son number 2, Daniel, popped out to the local Tesco and brought me back a pack of steak McCoy crisps and a bar of chocolate. The temptation was too much and I devoured them in no time, immediately regretting their consumption, not!
The day had been long and my eyes were tired from the computer so I went off to bed, before I fell asleep in the chair!
